    The English Department continuously works all year to provide Sherman High School students the information and the knowledge to not only do well in higher levels of education and to excel in exams, but to prepare for the future.  As of this year, Advanced Placement classes have been arranged to provide students with the same subject throughout school year.  These classes are taught with another class, by alternating days from which they are taught.  To motivate students taking the advanced placement exams, Netbooks have been generously donated from multiple companies for those who score higher than four.  Sherman High School would like to thank the companies who donated money for this purpose or Netbooks to reward hardworking and excelling students.
